One evening, as I drove home after a tense day in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I felt I needed a break. Then I reflected on the sheer volume of people who would be more in need than me. The cogs started to turn and I knew people couldn't go abroad, and then it clicked... campervans!

 

Doing my research into campervan hire I found that the price of hire was astronomical (supply and demand in the current climate, I suppose). Even in my fortunate position with a secure job; I still couldn't afford the hire price. I knew then that people less fortunate would be floating in the same boat.

 

My idea was simple - free breaks supported by sponsors in return for nationwide and digital advertising. But how was the question. I was constantly drumming my brain to find a solution. Then, one day, whilst sat behind a bus, the adverts jumped out at me. Suddenly, it seemed so obvious. Advertising. This would surely have the ability to raise the money to fund my venture.

 

Sponsors are at the core of this operation. I feel it important to recognise the generosity of each and every sponsor and I propose utilising the campervan as a unique advertising campaign for every sponsor alongside displaying their information proudly across our social platforms and website.

 

With illness, loss and desperation lying heavy across communities like never-ending fog I believe that this could be the glimmer of sunshine between the clouds. An opportunity to escape the COVID echo chamber and have a well deserved break without the financial burden.
